We started the week with a trip to the ever improving Pleasantvalleygolf Club which was in great condition and is one of the best value courses around.
We played the whites tees as normal at just under 6000 yards but the wind was blowing massively today probably the strongest I’ve ever played in Thailand so it was going to be a good test.
There were 7 groups playing today and only one man broke his handicap by a single shot so that shows how difficult it was in them conditions.
It was in incredibley tight competition today with only 2 shots separating the top 6 players.
The man who edged it today was a very happy Joe Earls with 37pts and winning for the first time with us. Well played Joe I hope you’re still out celebrating!!
2nd place went to the inform Wayne Hibbard with 36pts.
3rd – 6th was a 4 way tie being separated on a count back all with 35pts.
Just edging 3rd was the choker himself Pat Lavin who had this in the bag but somehow let it slip away!
4th was my other playing partner the Strangler Greg Smith who found some form today and took advantage of the extra run we had.
5th was Terry Drier who has just arrived back in town and he edged out New comer Karhun Nanda.
A big thanks to Pat and Greg for your help again and also to new comer Ankush Chada who sponsored a bottle of his own Tequila for the winner!
