The midweek competition took us to Pattavia and with not a sole in front of us we had the quickest round to date in just over 3hrs 30 minutes.
The course has such much run but the greens were so receptive so it was ideal playing conditions even off the whites at 6600 yards.
This was our first quieter day since October with many of our regulars escaping Pattaya for Songkran.
There was only a few groups today but it was a really good stress free day.
Today’s winner was myself with 44pts shooting my lowest ever round in Thailand a level par 72. I was stood on 16 two under par but a couple of unfortunate breaks saw me bogey 16 & 17 then left a birdie put 3 inches short on the 18th.
I was more than happy with my 4 birdies, 10 pars and 4 bogies.
2nd place was my playing partner and good friend Shane Thomason with 39pts
Who also hit the turn with 22pts and we were having a great battle. Just a couple of stray drives on the back 9 meant I ran away with it but some great golf from the big American.
3rd place was the big man from New Zealand who’s been in great form since getting back. Well played Tony Riemann with a solid 36pts
