The golfing week draws to a close yet again and we finished with a trip down to the beautiful but tricky St Andrews 2000.
A big thanks to the golf course for accommodating the extra players we had and allowing us to tee off 40 minutes early
We had 43 players competing off the white tees at 6400 yards. The course looked magnificent off the elevated 1st tee with freshly cut fairways and bright sunshine.
Out of all the players only one managed to just break par which shows what a tricky golf course it is. It’s a great test with elevated tee shots, dog legs and even par 6s to test even the long hitters.
Today’s winner has been with us from the start a very popular lady and always welcoming to the new comers.
Congratulations to Emm Maume with 37pts winning by 2 shots and finishing strong with 20pts on her back 9.
2nd place went Gene McNulty with 35pts
having just arrived back with his pals Ed and Joe finding form straight away.
3rd place was Bobby Watson with 33pts.
Great to see you over again and an impressive debut especially with a bad back and watching Guy play lol
4th place was that man again Shane Thomason also with 33pts just missing out to Bobby on a countback.
5th place was the big friendly Aussie
John Lowe with a solid 32pts beating Joe Liffy on a countback who secured the final podium place in 6th.
