Another busy day at the Pattaya Sports Hub and today we welcomed back ex Ryder Cup and 3 time European tour winner Steve Richardson who will be with us for the next 5 months.
We took on Pleasant Valley off the white tees at just under 6000 yards in very soft conditions but good weather for golf so I was expecting so good scores.
The course wasn’t in its best shape with some not very good tee blocks and very crazy pins positions but they do struggle in the wet weather here so I’m sure it will improve now we move into drier season.
Today’s winner has been in good form since arriving back and finally got his win.
Congratulations to Shane Thomason with 39pts winning by a single shot. Shane had a fantastic front 9 of 24pts and just hung on to clinch victory on a tricky back 9 with some very strange pin positions.
2nd place went to Mr Consistent Martin Evans with 38pts scoring 19pts on each 9 holes to beat Tony on a Count back.
3rd place was Mr Grumpy Tony Riemann also with 38pts. I had to convince Tony to play as he’s not been playing great hopefully this will kick start his happy ways again.
4th place went to the inform Kiwi Tony Wheeler with 37pts and another podium finish. He must be having lessons down boyz town on his nights out!
The last spot went to me with 37pts. Playing with an ex pro I thought I better sort my game out and at 1 under stood on the 10th with 24pts all was going well then the wheels came off on the 14th and I blew up as usual.
To make players aware Jordan Brown has ended up with his ankle in plaster after going down a hidden hole near a drinks station. We see this at many courses so please be careful where you walk and a speedy recovery to Jordan.
