We start the week off with a bang and with an influx of new golfers we ended up playing at 2 golf courses.
Jordan took the main bulk of 9 groups to play Hermes and I took the riff raff to play Laem Chabang.
The course if I’m being honest which you know I always am was a bit disappointing
Having played here many times and seen it at its best. The greens were slow and the fairways not a patch on Siam courses.
Anyway we still had a great day and there were some good scores in but nobody managed to break par as it was playing very long in soft conditions after the first rain of the year yesterday.
We had a 6000 baht prize pool with the winner taking 4k and runner up 2k.
Today’s winner was the inform Colm Lawlor with 36pts hitting some booming drives and some delicate chips to win by 1 shot
Colm’s new handicap of 9 showing no sign of slowing him up. Great round mate
2nd place went to Ryan Joyce with 35pts beating Frank Sullivan on a countback who started with 21pts on his front 9 with 3 birdies in a row but the wheels came off and Ryan’s solid 18 and 17pts were enough to win the money. Well played pal.
