On Wednesday we played the 2nd round of the Bangkok Cup at the stunning Alpine Golf Club.
It was all set up nicely with only 7 shots separating the top 8 places so all to play for but there were a few fragile players after the night out in Bangkok.
We played the white tees at 6200 yards in very soft conditions so it was playing every bit of it.
The leaders went out in the final group which was Jordan Brown (36), Nigel Henson (35) and Tony Danford (31) with the rest of us ready to chase them down.
The day ended up extremely tight with some great golf from the chasing pack and the leaders.
Winning Day 2 was myself with 38pts and playing my best round for a while with a pretty good hangover which pleased me a lot.
The runner up of Day 2 was Erik Lundman who was one of the favourites to win the trip scoring 37pts.
So this left the overall standings unbelievably tight but just edging it by one shot was the inform Nigel Henson with 69pts over the 2 days.
2nd place was myself with a great comeback and 68pts.
3rd was the ever consistent Tony Danford with 67pts
If you wondering what happened to Jordan Brown he choked but he did finish runner up at Amata the big competition so well worth a mention.
Thanks to everyone that played it was a really enjoyable couple of days on 2 fantastic golf courses. We will be doing another event in November so keep your eye out for that.
