We finished the week with 8 groups playing the fabulous St Andrews golf course in scorching conditions which did make a change from the rain we have been having.
The course was in fantastic shape as always and this is becoming another big favourite with the players.
We played the white tees a 6400 yards and only 2 of the field managed to break par which did surprise me.
Todays winner has played a few times with us now and was a runaway winner today with 41pts
Congratulations to the Frenchmen Geoffrey Muller on a great display.
2nd place went to the Arsenal fan Steve Elles so he’s used to coming second lol. Great round mate with 38pts and an eagle in there to.
3rd place was the always consistent Calin Young with a solid 35pts winning on a count back.
4th place was the big hitting Aussie Quinton Murphy also with 35pts shooting a 1 over par 75 off a handicap of scratch.
5th place went Johnny McGee with 33pts and he captained us to another fine win at pool to remain top of the league.
The last spot went to the most tanned Geordie you will ever see…
