Our midweek game saw us arrive at everybody’s favourite Royal Lakeside with no less than 43 golfers. A huge thanks to the starter for actually getting us away early and maintaining a fantastic pace of play for us all, it’s really appreciated.
Another humid morning and a threat of rain in the distance which we thankfully managed to avoid and as usual we saw some Great scores.
We played the white tees at 6300 but a few of the par 3’s were pushed back 20/30 yards today which made them tricker than usual.
As the prizes reflect, we welcome golfers from all over the world of all abilities, we are truly blessed to have a few + handicap golfers with us right through to beginners.
Today’s winner claimed his 2nd win in less than a week, congratulations to the shuffler himself Pat Lavin with a fantastic 40pts, great timing to drop 2 shots on the handicap in time for the tenzing day on Friday and next weeks away trip!
Runner up to Pat for the 2nd time in a week was myself with 39pts, my best round in over 3 months.
3rd place went to Brian Dunleavy with a very solid 38pts claiming 3rd on a CB, Brian’s last game with us for this trip, great having you around, safe trip home and see you soon mate.
4th place went to our very own Steve Richardson, happy to have his right hand man Dom back in Thailand, Steve shot a 69 for 38pts playing off his +1 handicap, he said it could have been lower if he could putt, god help us all!
5th place today was another +1 handicap Golfer, I had the pleasure of of playing with Michael Smith today and witnessed some fantastic ball striking, his 1st round with us shooting a 1 under 71 for 36pts, solid round of golf mate.
6th place today was Stefan Winquist, also with 36pts just missing out on a CB to Michael.
7th and final place today was Stu Kidd with a solid round of 35pts.
