Our midweek game took 38 fine golfers up the 7 to Bangpakong.
The course wasn’t its usual self due to the greens being sanded recently, many putts bobbled around and the greens were much slower than normal, scoring was good but not as high as we have seen here.
A very special mention to Damen Bramwell who hit the ultimate shot today on the 169 yard par 3 13th hole, our first hole in one this calendar year, congratulations mate.
The competition was unbelievably tight today with only 2 shots separating the top 9 golfers today, but the below 7 made the prizes.
Today’s winner tried to fire his caddy on arrival, he didn’t and less than 5 hours later he has walked off with 39pts and she’s been nominated for caddy of the year! Congratulations to the big Welshman himself, Mark Sullivan, winning a very tight 3 way CB, a great score today mate.
2nd place went to the Irishman Gordon Smith who is back in town and turned up with his A game, again with a very fine 39pts.
3rd place was the consistent Emm Maume, also with 39pts but missing out to Mark and Gordon, Emm had a fantastic 23pts on the front before dropping the anchor slightly on the back 9.
4th place went to John Lowder with 38pts playing off a very good 3 handicap claiming 4th on another CB.
5th place was newcomer Ron Dunaway, again with a very respectable 38pts just missing out to John.
6th place went to Michael Smith shooting a fantastic 37pts off a +1 handicap, a 70 round there today was incredible, another solid knock mate.
