We started the week at the Magnificent BangpaKong Riverside where it looked like we would get rained on but the gods were shining and it stayed dry.
The course was in really good shape with perfect fairways and greens like snooker tables so it was there for the taking.
We played the white tees at 6400 yards in very windy conditions which made it quite tricky out there.
There were some great scores in today which there usually is at Bangpakong due to its great condition.
Today’s winner was myself with my best round I’ve played shooting level par off a 5 handicap giving me 41pts.
The game felt so easy today with 16 pars 1 birdie and a single bogey and if the putter had got hot could have been so much better. I’m sure it will bite me back tomorrow at Amata Springs!
2nd place was new comer Tony Audinot with an impressive 39pts and making a 60ft birdie putt on the par 5 18th hole for 5pts! Great round mate
3rd place went to the always consistent Rich Moore also with 39pts just missing out on a count back but could have won the day if he hadn’t double bogied the last.
The last spot went to another new comer from Sweden Olle solskjaer with 36pts winning on a count back with 20pts on his back 9. Well played the baby faced assassin!
