Greenwood was the venue for our 2-man scramble held over A & B nines. It was a glorious day weatherwise and the course was in great condition. Playing off the white tees, it played every inch of it 6,500 yards as the scoring would indicate. Of the 9 pairings, only one managed to break 70 and there was only one recorded birdie.
Glen Elsworth and Paul Longstaff, playing off a handicap of 7.25 came home with a gross score of 77 to give them a winning net score of 69.75. It was a comfortable win in the end as Jon Dean and Phil Mitchell won the runners-up spot with a net score of 73.50. Third place went to Martin Crichton and Billy Buchanan with 73.75. Martin and Billy were the only team to record a birdie.
