Tuesday saw seven enthusiastic golfers take on Pattavia. The sky was partly overcast, the breeze was kind, and the course — though starting to show drought stress with yellowing fairways — still played beautifully. The greens, as always, kept everyone honest.
The scores were strong across the board. Nobody dipped below 30 points, and one man soared well above the rest: Peter Chai Tsjai, our star of the day with a fantastic 41 points. Willem Lasonder followed with a solid 38 points, just edging out Neil Harvey, who turned up the pressure on the final hole and forced Willem to sink a nervy one‑metre putt.
Ian Lingard claimed today’s spoon with good humour.

Thursday was all about celebrating Dave Smith’s birthday, and he marked the occasion in style by inviting a big group of golfers — enough for eight flights. The weather cooperated, giving us a perfect day at Pattaya Country Club.
The festivities continued at MyBar, where we enjoyed plenty of drinks, excellent food, and some truly outstanding cakes. A heartfelt thank‑you to Dave for hosting and to Don at MyBar for putting on such a delicious buffet.
