PATTAYA COUNTRY CLUB
On Thursday morning six motivated players gathered for our outing to Pattaya Country Club. The skies looked threatening at first, and we feared another rainy day, but by the time we arrived the clouds lifted and we enjoyed excellent golfing weather. Despite the previous night’s rain, the course was in fine condition and invited good scoring.
The competition reflected that. Only two players fell short of the 30‑point mark, while those starting from the yellow tees seemed to hold a slight edge over the white‑tee competitors. In fine form, Willem Lasonder claimed victory with 39 Stableford points, followed by John Dean as runner‑up with 37 points.
Neal Harvey impressed with his long drives, though the occasional wayward shot proved costly — earning him the spoon for the day.
Near pins were claimed by Steve Sturley and Neal Harvey, rounding off a lively and enjoyable round for all.
Coming back to MyBar after golf we celebrated the birthday of Nigel Irvine with a nice drink.
