Our final game of the week saw us take 32 players the relatively short trip to Plutaluang to play a multiplier event. For a change, we played the South and East combination and were pleasantly surprised by the condition of the two nines. The greens were in good condition and there were very few bare patches on the fairways. All said and done, it was a very enjoyable day.
In horse racing parlance, it would be fair to say that the pairing of Stu Kidd and Lee Smith were installed as hot favourites as both have been in fine form recently. Conversely, it would be fair to say that Mike Babb and John Fallon would be considered to be the rank outsiders although Mike too has been in good form. Stu and Lee returned 68 points and it looked very much like the form duo would take the trophy as they were well ahead of the rest of the field with one group to return. It wasn’t to be however as Mike and John came storming through the field to win by a country mile with 82 points.
Disappointment of the day went to Vito Cirelli who was inches away from a hole in one at South 4. Unfortunately for Vito, his partner failed to register a point so 4 times 0 was a big fat zero. We wont name Vito`s partner but his football team didn’t do very well on Tuesday night!
A great day was rounded off by a special appearance of Elvis at The Snug in the evening. A special thanks to Craig, Kesorn and the girls for a great night to round off a great day.
Just as a quick reminder, our Club Championship commences at Pleasant Valley on 28th November. The format is the same as last year with the best 3 rounds out of 4 determining the winner. Round 2 will be at Bang Pakong, round 3 at Pattavia with the final round at Greenwood.
