We had an incredible 21 groups — 84 golfers — taking part in a 2-Ball Better Ball competition.
With a nine-hole mini shotgun start, the event ran extremely smoothly from start to finish. The weather was also very kind to us, with a lovely breeze blowing throughout the round and making for very enjoyable golfing conditions.
It was fantastic to see all 84 players enjoying the occasion, and the whole day proved to be a resounding success.
Scoring was of a very high standard, with two teams finishing on an excellent 47 points. Ric Batt & Gerry Conway were fortunate to come out on top over Micky & Noina Ross after a better back nine decided the winners.
We also held Nearest the Pin competitions on all the Par 3s, with two handicap categories — 0–20 and 21+ — giving everyone an opportunity to pick up a prize.
After golf, we all returned to Magic, where everyone enjoyed a beautiful buffet before the prize presentation.
The celebrations then continued well into the night with some fantastic live music from Robb & Jen, making it a great finish to a very special day. 
A huge thank you to everyone who made a donation to Noodles Charity. Your generosity is very much appreciated and will go towards a very worthy cause.
Well done and thank you also to all the staff at Magic who worked extremely hard, kept the show on the road and looked after all our party guests throughout the evening.
A special shout-out must also go to the girls at Pattaya Country Club, whose help and assistance contributed greatly to the smooth running of the competition.
On a personal note, I would like to sincerely thank every single person who turned out to support the Birthday Golf Day. Having 84 golfers there made it a very special occasion for Gerry, Dean and Leslie, and your support was greatly appreciated.
Our next outing is at Greenwood on Tuesday 25th, followed by the Duncan-sponsored 2-Person Scramble at Green Valley on Friday 28th.
