We had 8 groups playing, using a two-way start from the white tees. The course was in good shape, but scoring proved challenging due to the tricky, fast greens.
As it was Captain’s Day, there was an abundance of prizes on offer, including a Best Gross prize.
A big congratulations to Keith Cox, winner of the Captain’s Prize!
After golf, we returned to Magic, where the staff had prepared a wonderful buffet for all golfers. We also enjoyed live entertainment from the talented Robb, with a little help from Duncan
Colin thanked all golfers for supporting his Captain’s Day, and expressed his appreciation to Dean and the Magic staff for helping make the day a great success.
Colin has been an outstanding captain for 2025 and will be a hard act to follow.
However, he proudly announced the 2026 Captain: Lou Porter, and expressed his confidence that Lou will perform the role to the highest standard.
Colin concluded his speech by wishing Lou every success in 2026.
