Surprising Emerald
On Tuesday we went with 3 groups to The Emerald. The course is not liked by everyone in our group and has always some surprises. It is difficult to come to high scores here. It was a nice day with clouds and not too hot. The course was in reasonable condition, although the mowing of the fairways could be better.
It was a little bit stumbling around, only 4 players in the 30’s. Steve Sturley played the most consistent and won with 36 stable ford points. Runner up was Bob Edwards with 32 points.
Mark Bromwich went for the spoon.
The near pins were for Bob Edwards and Steve Sturley.
Nice day at Bangpakong Riverside
On Thursday was our venue, Bangpakong Riverside. It is always nice to play here. The course is good maintained and has enough challenges.
The results were much better than Tuesday. Dave Smith showed that his form is coming back. He played a consistent round and won with 38 stable ford points. Runner up was Allan Cassin with 36 points.
Mike Malott was in for the spoon.
The near pins were for Neale Savery, Dave Smith, Bob Edwards and Mick Bryan.
