Challenging Wangjuntr

On Tuesday we drove the long way to Wangjuntr, where we the Valley course played. It is an interesting course and we are always amazed about the low rating of the course. It was a beautiful sunny day and the scenery is lovely.

Our performance on the course is a different chapter. It looked if everybody was impressed by the nature and the undulating fairways. We did our best to get nice results, but regrettably without success. Only one in the 4 groups was able to make 30 stable ford points. That was Neil Harvey, the winner at Wangjuntr. Runner up became Dave Smith with 27 points.

The near pins were for Neale Savery, Neil Harvey, Bob Edwards, Allen Cassin and John Feeney.

The spoon was grabbed by Steve Sturley.

Nigel Irvine on fire at Crystal Bay

On Thursday was our venue, Crystal Bay. We welcomed Nigel Irvine in our group and he presented himself very well. It was again a sunny day and the course looked inviting. The fairways started already to have yellow spots after one week without rain. The greens were in good condition, but slow.

Our newcomer Nigel Irvine wanted to show us that he is a good golfer and with success. He played a very steady round and won with 40 stable ford points. Maurice Paradis was also in good shape and became runner up with 38 points.

The near pins were for Bob Edwards, Maurice Paradis and Willem Lasonder.

\Neale Savery received the spoon.
