Seamus farewell salute
On Tuesday we went to Plutaluang with 4 groups. We played the South and East loop. It was again a beautiful day with a blue sky and a cool breeze. The course was in good condition and good greens. Nevertheless, the good condition, it is still not an easy course. But some of us were in super form and scored very well.
The battle for the win was between Seamus Oconnor and Mike Mallot. It was for Seamus his last game this year and wanted to show his good shape. Mike Mallot just back in Pattaya followed him, but missed just one point. Seamus was the winner with 41 stable ford points. Mike the runner up with 40 points.
Willem Lasonder did his best to get the spoon.
The near pins were for Bob Edwards, Seamus Oconnor and Mike Mallot.
On Thursday was our venue Eastern Star. It was a nice day again, but now with a cloudy sky and a nice breeze. The course was in good condition, but it was not an easy day. The most of us had to fight hard to get points. Putting was especially a tough job today.
Although we did our best, nobody could play his handicap. It was an exciting battle between Steve Sturley and Bob Edwards. They kept each other in balance, but Steve’s bogey on the last hole brought him the victory. Steve won with 35 stable ford points. Bob was runner up with 34 points.
