We started our golf week on Tuesday at Crystal Bay where we the A & C loop played.
The course was in reasonable condition, but had many yellow places due to the drought. But nevertheless, we had a good day. The weather was warm and heavy for the walkers.
Our low handicappers showed their skill today and became the winners. Allan Cassin was the winner with 36 stable ford points. Bob Edwards was the runner up with 34 points, beating Keith Timmis on the count back.
The near pins were for Bob Edwards, Paddy Devereux, Allan Cassin and Sam Jeffery.
The spoon was for Seamus Oconnor.
On Thursday was our venue the Emerald. We had a good turnout again with 19 players. The course was in reasonable condition, but the greens were slow, because they were too wet. Again, nice weather, maybe little
This time was it the day for the high handicappers. Mark Bromwich was at the morning coffee that his handicap was under 36. He proofed this round that it was correct and won with 38 stable ford points. Runner up was again Steve Sturley with 34 points, beating Sam Gettinby on the count back.
The near pins were for Bob Edwards, Maurice Paradis and Mik Malott.
The spoon was for Mike Malott.
