Disappointment at Pattaya Country Club
On Tuesday we went to the Emerald with only 1 group. We were lucky with the weather and the course was in reasonable condition. There was not much roll due to the rain.
Peter Pihl was in good form today and play consistent. He went for his first victory in our society. Bravo!! He won with 32 stable ford points. Runner up was Allan Cassin with 29 points.
Today no near pins and spoon.
Our venue for Thursday was Pattaya Country Club again. It is many times a surprise here. We had vouchers for a group of 5 players. The surprise was that these vouchers were only valid for Thai nationals. We didn’t know it, because the text on the voucher was in Thai language. Our thanks to Mark Bromwich who saved us with an alternative voucher for a discounted fee.
We were lucky with a dry start in the morning and just a few drops during the game. The course was in reasonable condition after all the rain the day before.
We had again a low turnout, only 5 players. But we had a good day.
The man of the day was John Pegrum. He played very consistent and we could not catch him. John won with 36 stable ford points. Runner up was Steve Sturley with 34 points.
Today again no near pins, but the spoon was for Mark Bromwich.
