The week of contrasts

On Tuesday we went to Mountain Shadow. We were unpleasant surprised by the condition of the course. In our memory was Mountain Shadow always in a reasonable condition. Not this time. The course was withered by the hot sunny weather. The course looked like a savannah. The weather was again hot, actually too hot for a decent result.

We stumbled around and did our best to finish the 18 holes. Sam Jeffery was the man of the day and won with 32 stable ford points. Runner up was Bob Edwards with 30 points.’

The spoon was this time for Stephen Ford, just one week here to join us.

The near pins were for Sam Jeffery and Bob Edwards.

On Thursday was our venue Khao Kheow, where we the A & C loop played. It was a few months ago that we played here and we were curious how the condition of the course would be. After our disappointment on Tuesday, we were surprised by the green fairways and good greens. A bigger contrast was not possible. The weather was again too hot, but after 11 came a breeze up and wat it bearable to play.

We were happy with the return of Martin Hayes. We missed him too long time. And he made his point today with a good round and won today with 32 stable ford points. Runner up was again Bob Edwards with 31 points.

The spoon was today for John Feeney.

Only one near pin was for Bob Edwards.
