The Links lads rolled into Pattavia Century today, where the greens are so quick they make your heart race faster than a three-putt bogey finish.
But one man was completely unfazed by the slippery slopes — Soren Hanson (19), who absolutely tamed the beast with a brilliant 40 points. Rumour has it he even smiled at a downhill six-footer — something no sane golfer has ever done at Pattavia.
In second, the ever-consistent Steve Elles (7) put together a tidy 36 points, proving that steady golf and a touch of patience (and perhaps some luck) can still pay dividends.
Werner “the Bomber” Leten (21) took third on 35 points, sending his drives so far down the fairway that search parties were being organised.
Fourth went to Kye Parks (13) with 34 points, just a whisker behind, and Huw Porter (17) rounded out the top five on 32 points, declaring afterwards that his putter was “on strike.”
Near pins:
Another great day of golf, laughs, and questionable putting at Pattavia. The greens won a few battles, but Soren definitely won the war!
