The end of the week saw the links crew travel to Silky Oak Golf course in the Barcelona valley complex
The fairways were heavy after the week long rain that hit the area,the greens were predictably tricky with many 3 putts recorded with 2 – 4 putts turning a good birdie opportunity into a bogie.
The greenjacket winner for silky oak was Decon the unassuming quiet American who had 38 points and the only person to break there handicap.
Second was the very consistent Selwyn Yates with 34 after a countback from the big hitting Aussie Troy Walsh.Fourth was Steve Moxey with 32 and fifth was the Icelandic tourist Rafn Rafnson with 32 points .
Three places were completed by a lucky dip.
