It was our monthly Medal competition, very kindly sponsored by August Restaurant.
We had four groups playing in ideal golfing conditions on a course that was presented in excellent condition.
We got away a little ahead of our scheduled tee time and completed the round in just three and a half hours, experiencing no delays whatsoever.
Scoring was excellent, with Paul Blackshaw and Gary Porter both returning outstanding net scores of 65. Paul edged out Gary to claim victory thanks to a slightly better back nine.
There was a carry-over 2s pot from our previous outing at Greenwood, and with five 2s recorded during the round, the prize money was shared among the successful players.
Our next Monthly Medal will be played on Tuesday, 18th August, at Khao Khoew Golf Club.
