On Tuesday 14th July, Magic Golf Society made its first visit to one of the prestigious Siam Country Club courses, Rolling Hills.
A fantastic turnout of 9 groups made for a brilliant first event at this superb venue.
We started on the back nine, with the men playing from the white tees and the ladies from the red tees. The day’s competition featured both a Singles Stableford and a Team Event, giving everyone two chances to take home a prize.
As expected, the course was presented in outstanding condition, with lush fairways and fast, challenging greens that tested every aspect of the players’ games.
Scoring was excellent throughout the day. The competition was divided into three flights, but the standout performance came from Frank Ward, who produced a superb 43 Stableford points to claim the Overall Winner’s prize.
The best gross score of the day belonged to Ben Walter, whose excellent 1-over-par 73 was a fitting reward for a quality round of golf.
After the golf, everyone returned to Magic Bar, where Chef Nok treated the players to another delicious complimentary buffet before the prize presentation.
Our next outing is the July Golfer of the Year competition at Pattaya Country Club on Friday.
