We took 7 groups to Pattaya Country Club for our `mixed tee` competition. It proved to be very popular for our 27 competitors and is definitely something we will repeat. It was difficult to forecast what the winning score would be but I don’t think anyone would have picked 43 points which is exactly what Tony Browne returned. It was one of those days for Tony with his putter only employed 26 times. Local knowledge definitely paid dividends for Pattaya Country Club members Martin Crichton, Scottie Brown and Ray Ward with all 3 finishing up on the podium.
A special thanks must be given to Scottie for getting the vouchers which enabled everyone to play for 1700 baht. A thoroughly enjoyable day was had by one and all which was carried on in The Snug for the presentation. It’s a haste ye back to Mike Smith and Ian Fraser who will soon be homeward bound.
