Before I get on to the report from yesterday’s golf at Royal Lakeside, I would first like to share the results from the invitational event held at Amata Springs on Tuesday, 4th August.

Magic Golf Society was represented by 12 players, and I am delighted to say we performed exceptionally well. With a field of 100 golfers, our players picked up the following prizes:

Ladies Category Winner

Ing Ingkatet

Ladies Category Runner-Up

Nok Givens

Gross Competition Runner-Up

Rocky Jones

Overall Stableford Winner

Gerry Conway

However, the highlight of the day belonged to Patrick Lenky, who recorded the first hole-in-one of his golfing career at the 8th hole. Congratulations, Patrick—an unforgettable achievement!

Overall, it was a tremendous performance by the Magic Golf Society players.

On Wednesday, we held our August Golfer of the Year competition at Royal Lakeside Golf Club.

The event was very kindly sponsored by Scottie Smith / Pumpui Restaurant.

We had five groups competing on a magnificent golf course that was presented in outstanding condition. We also enjoyed an excellent pace of play, completing the round in just under four hours.

Although a strong breeze made conditions challenging at times, the scoring was still of a very high standard. There were also five twos recorded during the round.

The best score of the day came from Frank Ward, who amassed an excellent 38 Stableford points, including an incredible two birdie twos on the par 3s. Frank edged out both Adam Hitchott and Dean McCarry, who finished just one point behind on 37.
