We travelled up to Pattavia with 5 groups for our last game of the week. Unlike many courses, there was some good run on the fairways. Pattavia is the course where you have to put the ball in the right place on the greens. If you are above the pin it is difficult to get down in 2 putts but if you are below the pin then you have a better chance of holing out. We can only assume that John Carlin was below the hole all day long as he smashed the Olde Rogues best score. They say that every dog has his day, well today was certainly John`s day with 47 points. The 27 handicapper – not for much longer – had nines of 25 and 22 points. Runner-up was Vero Morgan with 38 points. John Browning, recently back from Scotland, George Wilson and Steve Mabbett completed the podium places.
