MALLET HAMMERS IT AT BANGPAKONG.

      Picture1 Picture2

Bang Pakong was the venue for Phil Penney`s birthday bash. Unfortunately, we were restricted to 20 places which is probably due to Bang Pakong being such a wonderful course added with the excellent price at 1750 baht all in courtesy of the PSC voucher and although there were no vouchers available at PSC, they did the courtesy of contacting Bang Pakong on our behalf where we were told that we could collect the vouchers at the course prior to teeing off.

Phil is slowly recovering from an injury but tried to level the playing field by dishing out shots of whisky to everyone prior to teeing off. Good try mate. It was John Mallet, who should have been leaving Bang Pakong and going to the airport but discovered that he left his passport behind, played the game of his life with a score of 46 points which equated to a 3 over par round of 75. Stu Elsey also played the game of his life with 40 points which edged out Garry Chrystal on a countback for the runners-up position. The other podium places went to Paul Tidy and Terry Southworth.

Back at The Snug, Phil arranged food for everyone which was much appreciated. Certainly it was a day never to be forgotten.
