GEORGE WINS A CLOSE CALL AT TREASURE HILL.

Wednesday saw us take 4 groups to Treasure Hill. After the heavy rain on the previous evening, we were sceptical about Wednesday but our worries were put to rest and we were treated to a fine day.

Back home, I have a good friend who is a good golfer and goes under the nickname of Chipper. This isn’t because he is particularly good with his short game round the greens but because he owned a Fish and Chip shop. To the best of my knowledge, George Mueller does not own a Fish and Chip shop! George has the uncanny knack of getting up and down from various distances and Wednesday was no different. His 37 points was good enough to top the podium with 5 players tied on 36. Russell Blatchford pipped Phil Penney for the runners up spot with Phil just taking the plaudits over Nick Sunderland for the remaining places.

RESULTS:

1st Place        George Mueller (19) – 37

2nd Place       Russell Blatchford (15) – 36 c/b

3rd Place        Phil Penney (20) – 36 c/b

4th Place        Nick Sunderland (12) – 36 c/b
