18th Pattaya Sports Club 2014 Charity Classic
@Burapha Golf Resort
The 18th year of the eagerly awaited Pattaya Sports Club Charity Classic Tournament was held on 21 March 2014 at the Burapha Golf Resort. This event takes weeks of planning and preparation and the Golf Chairman, Joe Mooneyham,worked very hard to make this a most successful event which, judging by the comments of those playing, he succeeded big time. The competition was a 2 person scramble with prizes on every hole and prizes for the top 10 pairs. 2 days after the official announcement the list was full and Joe had to increase the field from 144 players to 160 and yet there was still a waiting list. In addition to prizes being awarded on every hole, there was a raffle with many prizes which included green fees for 4 people from the EGA golf courses, golf clubs from Pattaya City Golf including Taylor Made SLDR Driver, Taylor Made Burner Driver from Mick Beresford, 2 ball Putter from Eddie Bielby, 2 bottles of Johnnie Walker from Tara Pattana International School, 1 dozen Titleist Pro V 1 x golf balls from Kyle Roadley and a 60/40 split for the final raffle ticket drawn.
Singha Corp came through again with tremendous support for this event and provided Sanvo Sports energy drinks to everyone prior to teeing off as well as providing golf and shoe bags to the winners, shirts and umbrellas to the other top 10 winners. They also furnished free drinks during the presentation which, as you might guess proved to be very popular with everyone, and was held at the Burapha Clubhouse along with a tremendous buffet. Mike, the General Manger of Burapha, presented the C & D nines in pristine condition and as President of the EGA also helped to make this a most outstanding event. In near perfect golfing weather, the overall scores were very good.
Another great supporter of this event was Chris Balzli of Sinto Shirts who provided 150 shirts free of charge.
Joe thanked all who participated in today’s tournament with a special thanks to the support of all the
