Tropical Golf 14/08
Friday, August 14, Treasure Hill – St
This Friday twenty four Tropical Golfers gathered at BJ’s Holiday Lodge to fuel up for the outing to Treasure Hill. For those not in the know Treasure Hill has an excellent special going on now of Bt 1050 total including Caddie and cart. Haven’t seen such prices in a long while. As the day was warm and humid even the biggest fans of walking a course couldn’t pass up that deal.
In addition to having a great deal, Treasure Hill is also in good condition. They have a couple different kinds of grass in the fairways, but all is well kept and the greens good. Treasure Hill is one of the most challenging venues in the area and can strike fear into the hearts of even skilled players, and rare is the golfer who completes the round with a single ball. Expecting low scores, several players rose to the challenge.
A-Flight (0-17) Applause to Tommy Marshall (hcp 10) for digging deep and scoring a numbing 40 points on a difficult course. Excellent golf Tommy! John Pierrel (12) had an impressive 36 points, followed by Maurice Roberts (12) with 35. Good scores on a hard layout.
Honorable mention goes to Paul Smith in A-flight who took 3 of 4 near pins! Fine shooting Paul.
B-Flight (18+) Regular winner these days Nigel Perry (24) racked up 36 points to take his flight with some excellent play. Next came Mike O’Brien (19) with 33 and Dick Warberg (19) with 32 points. Well played everyone.
