Tropical Golf 01/12
Tuesday The 1st December 2015:
Khao Kheow ( Stableford) This is the first name on the program every month for one good reason it is a great Course. Now of course there are those who will disagree with me, but I really have to say we book the Courses and we always get a good turnout. I also have to say I book this Course for Poppy Golf and they really do look after us. That is why so many turn out every year.
On this day we had a good turnout and were soon there , signed in and were off a little early. After all we all know the way up route 7. The test for the day was to be the C & B Nines in that order and off we went with a strong wind around us. The Course was in good condition and as we were playing off the yellow tees some of the shorter hitters would find the going hard, but it was reasonably dry so we should get plenty of run.
Off we went and all in all the Course was in good condition however surprisingly the greens looked really fast and in really good condition but played slower, They did speed up as the day went on. This is a Course where you make a mistake and get punished and seemingly all the players had a hard time. And as we went on and the day got hotter it became a real fight,
Back in the shower we could all relax and cool down, before going up to the Restaurant for a bite to eat. This Restaurant has one of the best views of any Restaurant and is well worth a visit. So a quick bite to eat and then into cars for the trip back to Pattaya.
Back early we got on with the results just as quick. And the results showed the Course had won. In the A Flight, 0 to 18, the winner was Brian Gabe with 34 points ahead of a countback on 32 points that saw Tom Herrington in second, Takeshi Hakozaki in third and Richard Kubicki just missing out. In the B Flight we had a countback for first with 34 points, so in first was Tom Cotton ahead of Carole Kubicki in second. In third was Jim Ferris with 32 points. Then it was time to cool down with a cold one. Or two!!. T.T.F.N.
