The Growling Swan 18/05

Mountain Shadow GC  : Stableford

Ibby Conquers the Mountain

Warm weather and an empty car park at the course greeted us.

Playing from the white markers suited the players as the scoring was sizzling like a freshly dropped Richard the Third.

The course was in top condition and the greens slower than usual.

Ebrahim’s game was hotter than St Paul’s cathedral during the great fire of London and his forty two points attested to that.

Second place went to Alex Field relegating Kissy Buchanan to third both players handing in thirty nine points.

Graham Rice also on thirty nine points reckoned he was a stiff as an eskimo’s licorice to miss the podium considering he missed a brace of two and a half footers for birdies on the front nine par threes.

The gathered throng did not share in his disappointment.
