The Growling Swan 12/10

Bangpra – Stableford

James Olsen

San-Mig Stu Stayed Ahead of the Pack!

With only 2 buses travelling out today, the banter was the normal. How many pars, how many birdies and myself the question was How many Points! Then the normal what happened last night and what will happen tonight, capabilities and expectations are never the same!

It was such a shame that our numbers were low as we were heading with our destination being Bangpra, affectionately named ‘The Monkey Course’. As usual the course was in excellent condition, I had forgotten just how good this course is. It was in great shape, with the weather being in our favor it was a pleasurable day. The greens were lighting fast (like putting on glass), and the caddies (in our group) were great. And there were plenty of monkeys to keep us on our toes.

As per recent times, it looked like rain would intervene, but it held off and a gentle breeze, from time to time, kept playing conditions very pleasant.

We attacked the course from the White tees, with Rifkin getting out of the blocks early and continuing on thru the 18, he played a very consistent game, John Davis playing his first game back with us from his UK trip took out second. With the evergreen Ebrahim taking third spot.

Winners at Bangpra:

1st   Stuart Rifkin (17) 38 pts

2nd   John Davis (16) 34 pts

3rd   Ebrahim Al-Ansari (16) 33 pts

2 Snowy on the Trams

Longest 1 Putt:
