CRYSTAL BAY

As The Story Goes.

Picken & Steilow take out the Double!

With 21 eager golfers assembled, and as silly as it sounds all awaiting the arrival of Geri Crilly. Alas poor Geri did not make it as he had a dose of what he gives the boys from The Mornington Peninsular…………..!

Greetings were handed out to Phil Fonk and Roger Ellis. With a sad farewell to a great mate to us all Ernie Picken, travel safe mate and come back soon.

The recent sultry weather was again with us, with not a breath of wind to be found. We played C and A Nines in that order. The course was in good nick and held its own against some, however playing off the yellow tees left room for some high scores.

Ernie Picken made sure, in his last game, he went out with a bang taking out A Grade with 44 points, a near Pin and a long putt. 2nd was Simon Niven with the always reliable Ebrahim taking out 3rd . Colin Steilow took out B Grade with a very good 48 points from Dave Fletcher 2nd and Andrew Allen 3rd.

Winners:

A Grade (0 – 25 hcp)

1st Ernie Picken (25) 44 pts

2nd Simon Niven (13) 40 pts

3rd Ebrahim (14) 38 pts

Deefa (our charity collector dog) was delighted to receive many donations and the players are thanked for their continued generosity.

Back at ‘The Swan’, the boys from The Mornington Peninsular were overheard “That’s the best round we have had since we have been here”. They played as a 3.

For serious golfing with compulsory sledging, the Growling Swan welcomes golfers of all persuasions. We generally play on Mondays and Thursdays at any one of the fine courses around Pattaya. Please contact Peter Grey for bookings or any information on 086 1503 086.
