The Growling Swan 04/05
TREASURE HILL GC
David Deire Comes Out on Top
Despite being a holiday negotiating a 1300 baht green fee, caddy and cart was an absolute coup which the seventeen starters appreciated.
Welcomes were handed out to David Deira from South Africa, Tony Campbell Australia and Pattaya resident Walter Baechli.
Pierre Cere was farewelled returning to Canada.
The weather was very warm for most of the day however a cooling breeze and overcast conditions coming down the stretch provided some relief.
The course was in good condition and the greens on the first nine though being recently cored and sanded putted truly.
One grade today and David Deire finished first handing in thirty five points.
Second was Rudy Reganase on thirty three with Graham Rice despite receiving a very attractive post nocturnal activity alternative, scoring thirty one points.
At the corner Stu Rifkin’s score was so crook it looked like it belonged on the Grim Reaper’s Christmas card list.
However he rallied to muster twenty points on the flip side for a total of thirty, relegating Mike Gosden on the same score to fifth place.

Scott Lobenwein’s game was in more pieces than the Australian Federal Labor party caucus debating uranium and as a result he was awarded The Coveted Compass Cap.
Deefa the dog was once again in attendance and the golfers are thanked for their donations to the needy children of Pattaya.
