COONEY GETS OUT THE BROOM
A fine week of golf for Gerry sweeping all three stableford competitions; 35 points at the beautiful Royal Lakeside G.C., 37 points at the ever so brown Eastern Star G.C., and 33 points at the best value in town Treasure Hill G.C..This guy is good.
Monday, September 21, Royal Lakeside G.C. — Stableford —
Only six of our most steadfast and resolute players braved the ominous skies for the long drive up the motorway to enjoy a round at the lovely Lakeside course. The weather held; the course was in great shape; and fun was had by all.

Wednesday, September 23, Eastern Star G.C. — Stableford —
Only five of our faithful could rouse themselves out of bed to make the trek over to BangChan. It was well worth the trip as the course is definitely improving. That is to say, the fairways are beginning to turn green, the bunkers were raked, and the greens were running at a decent pack.

3rd Frank Quinlan (29) 34 pts

Friday, September 25, Treasure Hill G.C. Yellow Tees — Stableford —
Gerry Cooney barely squeezed out a win on count back over Geoff Parker to sweep this weeks’ competitions. Finishing the week with an average stableford score of 35, it was a great / fun / rewarding week of golf for Gerry.
The evening storms had left branches / leaves various debris scattered here and there but, as usual, the course was in great shape and is most definitely the best value in town.
