White tees – Stroke play
Good group today, off to Pleasant Valley. We leave on time after a few door knocks in the bar give the morning wake up calls for the overzealous players.
We have been using a really good bus driver lately, good safe driving, not to fast, knows were all the courses are located. Makes my job a lot easier organising everything.
Pleasant Valley looked very busy today, but no-one on the first tee. Great let’s get going. First group were flying, after three holes they were in front by a hole. 1 hour 25 minutes for the first nine holes. Overall super fast, I think they finished in just a touch over 3 hours. I was last group and still under 4 hours. Good quick golf.
Pleasant Valley is in fairly good condition, with the greens look a bit rough but run quick. This is a course I don’t normally like. I never seem to score there with the odd slight spray off the tee being very costly. After a few shanks to get started, finally sorted my game out, about time, 5 birdies in the last 12 holes. Happy days.
Some good scores coming in today, with the course playing fairly short today. A well deserved congratulations to Leigh. His been playing with us for a while now, and his consistency is starting to really come. Leigh shot his first ever sub 100 score today by making a par on the last to record a 99. Well done mate. Keep moving forward.
Rocky shot his best score with us as well today, Gary, Bruce and Dave also recorded good scores.
