I-rovers 10/10

Burapha A & B Course, white tees.
Ok iRovers Golf is BACK. After an enforced lay off with injury, we are back at it.
Played Burapha today. A small turnout, but being sort of last minute and with all the rain we’ve recently had still good.
Burapha has to be one of the best courses around, lush fairways, quick greens and an interesting track. Not too difficult if your playing ok. With the weather we have had of late it was playing very long today. Fairways were a little wet for the first 12 holes or so, but the greens still ran true.
If your off your putting game here, your either scared to hit it too hard thereby leaving it short or smashing it well past the home. You’ve definitely got to commit to your putt. Wonderful information after the round, didn’t help me today, ;-)
We welcomed today Daniel from Scotland. Daniel proved to be a really good guy and a very handy golfer. Plays off 6 handicap now but used to play off scratch before business got in the way. Well played today. (My back was hurting just watching him hit the ball that hard. I bet the ball was glad it was all over after 18 holes). We also welcomed Donnie from Australia. Thanks for the company Donnie and good to see you out there having a hit.
We played 12 holes today, then the thunder and lightening started, we quickly decided to have a break at the drink stop and wait it out. Well the heavens opened up and the rain came down, about 30 minutes of torrential rain and you couldn’t even see the greens anymore. Congrats to Burapha, 5 minutes after the rain stopped, greens dried out and away we went. Fairways after that were just a bog, but we only had a few holes to go so we plugged on.
Daniel Smith (Hcp 6) 83 gross, net 77
Paul Blackshaw (hcp10) 86 gross, net 76
At this stage, we are booked in for Emerald next Tuesday and Greenwood on Thursday. These may change depending on weather, but we are playing. All welcome, contact the bar or facebook: irovers golf for details.
Happy golfing
