Khao Kheow A & C Yellow tees
The course was very quiet and we were able to tee off 20 minutes early. Typical low season turnout with only 2 groups, but that makes for a speedy round. Even allowing for hold ups behind 4 Korean ladies, we made it around in under 4 hours.
I love the layout at Khao Kheow, but to be honest, the course is in typical low season condition. Fairways are rubbish, when you hit the fairway, no guarantee of a good lie. Bare or water corroded patches everywhere. Greens where okay to look at, but inconsistent speed, which make it hard to hit a confident stroke.
All that doesn’t really matter because we are in Thailand playing golf. Worse things could happen.
Welcome today to Aussie Phil, just back again for another month. Phil played good for someone a bit rusty.
Mark goes back to work next week and is really starting to strike the ball well. I suppose that clean striking will be lost for next month back from work, haha
Some of the other boys had a hard day at the office. No names mentioned, “Gary” (haha), “Like trying to kill a snake in a telephone box” was one mention of your swing today. You just had your turn mate, that’s why we come back because that last round is not typical of your generally strong game.

Other notable mentions, 4 centuries in record time…………..haha, bring on The Ashes
Burapha on Thursday. See you there. Happy golfing
