Growling Swan 27/04
PSC GOLF REPORT – GROWLING SWAN – STABLEFORD
Treasure Hill – 27th April 2015
“Gentlemen Jim” Groves Gets in the Groove.
A small field headed out for today’s game however all were in high spirits.
A lovely course, difficult in places with its tight fairways and other than the first four greens in very good condition.
We were the only golfers on the course and I have to say it was great being able to cruise along at a steady pace. A very warm and humid day with little or no breeze for relief, however we were lucky enough to beat the early afternoon downpour.
We welcomed back from South Africa Rudy Reganase and bid farewell to John Coetzee returning to Western Australia. A good bloke with a great sense of humour, so don’t mess about John and come back soon.
It was a tough day with the scribe struggling in all areas, but as all are aware I have this problem on most courses.
Presentations were as per usual at the course with the three place getters being the only ones to shine today and some very average scores handed in.
In saying that, on such a great course all had an enjoyable time which beats a day’s work!

The GS is a friendly golf outlet and caters for and encourages all golfers male and female to have a hit at any of our weekly outings. We generally play Mondays and Thursdays at one of the many fine golf courses in and around Pattaya. Please contact Peter Grey if you are interested on 0861 503086.
The Growling Swan also caters to the bowls enthusiasts. Bus transport departs the GS on Wednesdays at 10 AM to play at Cocos on undercover synthetic greens and on Sundays at the same time for open grass bowling at The Retreat. Please contact Paul Rennison on 0843 454005 if you wish to partake. The cost including return bus transport, bowling fees and a hot lunch is less than 400 baht so great value for a day out.
