Growing Swan 23/02

Khao Kheow GC – 23rd of February 2015
The Drut
Groves Wins Comfortably

Nineteen punters gathered today looking forward to playing after a three day break however one late night toper originally from the settlement on the Yarra failed to face the starter after a decent slurp the previous day/evening.
Pre game change room chatter included one gent advising that letting him loose on a golf course was akin to feeding strawberries to a pig.
The yellow tees were used today with the A & C nines being the challenge.
The weather was warm and the course in great condition however no one was able to play to their handicap.
Welcomes were handed out to Martin Todd and Dave Fletcher from Perth, Western Australia.
Jim Groves handed in thirty five points to stand atop the podium whilst Gary Monley scored thirty three points and was given a standing ovation, only second to the one received recently when he addressed The Pattaya Haemorrhoid Association.
Ebrahim ran third also with thirty three points whilst John Anderson on thirty one and Alan Colonel Sanders on thirty rounded it out.

The GS is a friendly golf outlet and caters for and encourages all golfers male or female to have a hit at any of our weekly outings. We generally play Mondays and Thursdays at one of the many fine golf courses in and around Pattaya. Please contact Peter Grey if you are interested on 0861 503086.
The Growling Swan also caters to the bowls enthusiasts. Bus transport departs the GS on Wednesdays at 10 AM to play at Cocos on undercover synthetic greens and on Sundays at the same time for open grass bowling at The Retreat. Please contact Paul Rennison on 0843 454005 if you wish to partake. The cost including return bus transport, bowling fees and a hot lunch is less than 400 baht so great value for a day out.
