Tropical Golf 22/2

A quartet of winner on a tough track.

A big day out at Treasure Hill for a full field of 28. The track was good for most parts but that flat grass is getting everywhere. The greens fast especially downhill but generally true. Not much water in any of the dams and most water hazards can be played out of.

So we loaded up 2 vans and the rest went in cars… the vans are good nice 10 seaters good leg room and some friendly banter on the way there and snoring on the way home…such is the life of retired golfers.

Going into today’s event some had good form such as Graham (Buckers) Buckingham. In his last 5 starts his form was 11211 sadly all good things come to an end but it gave the other golfers in his flight a chance of taking home 1st prize. Mick Coghlan has been in good form also with a win at his last start but got piped at the post on countback today.

Four flights with 3 placings a best non place getter 9 in each flight was the prize schedule. The presentation took nearly as long as the round with16 golfers in the placings.
