Tropical Golf 15/6
John A. A Gem at Treasure Hill on Friday June 15, Treasure Hill – St
Since watching the US Open is boring and filled with commercials, it is understandable that the golfing world has turned its attention to the goings on at Tropical Golf in Pattaya. And why not? Every shot is as entertaining as it is unpredictable. This week fifteen Tropical Golfers made a return visit to Tough Treasure Hill. The Alligator is waiting!
There is no such thing as perfect weather here, but this came close, mostly cloud cover, no rain, a regular breeze. Most players opted to ride as TH still has a good package deal.
The course condition would be classified as good to excellent. It undoubtedly helped scores that lift-n-clean was called as a great many shots in the soft fairways gathered clumps of unwelcome debris. Treasure Hill is a tough course, but several golfers took advantage of the conditions to make it their own.
Results: John Anderson (c/h 31) had an awesome score on this tough course, posting a high 40 points, including a 25 point back nine! Way to hit them Johnny! Gerd Riedler (11) nearly matched it with his much smaller handicap, showing good ball control with 38 points. Dick Warberg (22) and Eddie Kost (17) were in the thick of it also with 38 points, and Brian Parish (12) took a bow with his 36 points. Good going on a tough layout!
Best 9 (non winning) went to Gordon Clegg and Mashi Kaneta.
