Tropical Golf 02/08
It is fair to say that when we make out the Courses for the following Month, that Khao Kheow is first on the list. This is a Pete Dye Course that tests every shot in the arsenal, and make one mistake and it will penalise you greatly. On this day we were soon up at the Course and with the normal quick book in were soon at the start.
The test for the day was to be the B & A Nines, in that order, and we were soon away on our day out. Not a lot to report, the Course was in good condition, it usually is, and we were able;e to bimble along at a good pace. The fairways were well grassed and the rough was just that, rough.. The best thing was that the greens were fast and true and all players thought they were in fine condition.,
Soon finished it was a quick bite, and then back into transport and back to home base which we reached nice and early.
Back at BJ’s it was soon into the results. In the A Flight, 0 to 24 the winner was Mashi Kaneta with a peerless 40 points the best round of the day. In second place was Tom Herrington with 38 points and in third was Brian Parish with 37 points. .In the B Flight, the winner was George King with 38 points ahead of Don Carmody in second with 37 points and Graham Buckingham in third with 34 points on countback over Gordon Clegg. Then to replaying all the shots over a few cold ones. T.T.F.N.
