“Kissy, A Great Way To Finish This Tour.”

Well started with 24 golfers, but 2 unfortunate late withdrawals we greeted The Starter with now 22 eager golfers. A good crowd for a Monday!

With all the rain that we had had this course was in Good condition, bus chatter was all about carts on course and would they be allowed. Well they were allowed to the delight of our playing group. Group Captain Rudy Regenass took control from the outset, mustering the troops to tee from The Whites. I have it from good authority that he was even overheard telling a Caddy that her uniform was not ironed, and her dress was not within regulations! Well Adolf is still alive and well it seems!

Mt Shadow was in good nick as stated earlier, plush fairways, greens were true (Considering the rain had) and clean bunkers. But if you ventured from the fairways you could find yourself in deep trouble. (as was evident in today’s scores) There were no hold ups as yet again the course was near empty.

With today’s numbers we were able to play Two Flights with all novelties in play.

A Flight saw Keith Buchanan having his last hit with us for a few weeks (heading back to Aussie) he was one of only two golfers to return with scores in the thirties. Keith greeted the judges with 30 points one shot clear of second place getter Colm Lawler. Last spot on the podium went to Mashi Kaneta, having not come back for the presentation he would not be aware that he had made a podium finish.

B Flight welcomed back John Coetzee with the score of the round, he returned with an unbeaten 32 points. Second home was Colm Mullen with Colin Stielow taking third one shot behind second and four behind the leader.

1st Keith Buchanan (15) 30 points.
