Bob and Sandy get home in a close one. It was a hive of activity in Soi Chaiyapoon as the troops gathered for today’s challenge.
Upon arriving at the course the management made us very welcome and the book in was handled quickly and efficiently by the lady receptionist.
The green fee,caddy and cart deal at 1600 baht was great value and we’ll be back next month.

A big welcome was handed out to Billy Beers from Northern Ireland and a farewell to Peter Bailey who is heading back to Australia.
The weather was just perfect with a slight breeze keeping the temperature very pleasant.
As usual the track was very testing with the greens a little inconsistent, resulting in the scores being lower than the nether regions on a sausage dog.

A keenly contested battle only second to that at Trafalgar, saw Bob Akapita win A grade with thirty five points on a counback from Stu Rifkin with J.J.Harney gaining a podium finish handing in thirty three points.
All place getters fortunately finished in considerably better health than 1st Viscount Nelson.
Two weeks ago Sandy Leiper who said his game was as stale as a hot cross bun in August, posted thirty three points to win B grade.
Mark Stapleton came home with a wet sail scoring nineteen points on the flip side to total thirty two points and edge out John Anderson on a count back.

Near pins went to Sal Brizzi on the second,Peter Bailey the sixth and Bill Steinmann on thirteen and seventeen.
Long first putts were won by Sal Brizzi on the ninth and Andrew Allen on eighteen.
Despite having a bag of high tech equipment that would have put a sizeable hole in the defence budget of a small pacific nation,Russell Calcutt collected the Compass Cap.
Deefa the dog was the happy recipient of many donations for the needy children of Pattaya and the golfers are thanked for their generosity.
