SIAM Country Resort 18/5
This week we visited Greenwood and Eastern Star. Both courses were in excellent condition and it was a pleasure to play here.
On Tuesday 15th May we went to Greenwood. Driving on the 331 let us think about the period of 2 years ago with all the road works. It seems there is a new big road project which will give us some delay. The reward was a beautiful course. The weather was hot today, but we enjoyed the game. It is always good to see a well maintained course. Despite the good conditions, we didn’t have good results. The winner was Neil Harvey with 32 stable ford points. Second was Jonathan Pratt with 31 stable ford points, beating Stan Rees on the count back.
We had problems to find the way to the par 3”s. Only 1 today for Neil Harvey.
Eastern Star was our venue on Thursday 17th May. We left Siam Resort in sunshine, but the sky became black when we arrived at Eastern Star. And before we were on the tee the rain was pouring down. After waiting 20 minutes the sky cleared up and we had a nice day on a perfect course. Jonathan Pratt showed his good form of the last weeks and won with 39 stable ford points. Dave Smith followed with a good 37 stable ford points and was second. Alex Everden became third with 32 stable ford points, beating Neil Harvey on the count back.
The nears to the pin were for Paddy Devereux and Dave Smith.
